Game help: updates, platforms & the demo

Match a problem to its symptoms before restarting a run. Several launch progression issues are addressed in the October 30 Steam patch.

Steam patch 1.0.9: symptoms to check

Check that your Steam copy has applied the available update, then retry the affected section. These patch notes describe the Steam release; use your console’s own update information for its build.

Keep your existing save while checking. If the same problem remains after updating, record the location, platform and steps that trigger it for the game’s support channels. Do not delete a run just because a door or panel did not respond once.

Where to play

The full game launched on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 29, 2026. Xbox’s launch announcement also lists Cloud and PC availability through the relevant Game Pass plans. Check the current store listing for access on your account.

This is a single-player game. A guide page or Steam store widget is not a free browser version of the full game.

PC requirements at a glance

Compare both CPU and graphics requirements before installing. Storage space alone does not tell you whether a machine meets the minimum specification.

The demo is a separate experience

The free PC demo differs from the full release. Keep its version notes separate from a full-game walkthrough.

Demo v0.9.51 added Options → Accessibility → Hints. Switching it off reduces Jordan’s guidance and changes some environmental cues. The same demo update discussed a low lighting preset and DX11 as a possible workaround for some crashes. Those instructions belong to that demo update; for the full game, use its own settings and current patch notes.
