Collectibles: plan a better search

Use these early and easy-to-name stops to build a collectible run. Pair the location list with the chapter route rather than searching during an active chase.

Know what you are collecting

Amber, tapes and notes have separate collection achievements. Stuffed-animal placement and Paleo Pal talk boxes have their own goals too. Keep these tasks separate in your notes: picking up a toy and finishing a placement objective are different actions.

For a useful personal record, write the chapter, nearby landmark and item type. “Near the office” is hard to retrace; “box-office desk before the theater” is a route you can recognize. Add a tick after the interaction, not when you merely spot the object.

Search a room in a repeatable order

Separate route progress from collection progress. A chapter can move forward while an optional note remains behind. The personal checklist tracks route tasks; it deliberately does not turn a few ticks into a claimed game-completion percentage.

  1. Start with eye-level surfaces: desks, workbenches and shelves along the route you actually used.
  2. Look up for ladders, raised platforms and alternate ledges. Write down an inaccessible object before you leave so it becomes a return task.
  3. Finish the local objective, then take one last sweep of the safe area before beginning the next chase.

Amber has a second purpose

Amber also unlocks New Game+ modifiers at four-piece intervals. If a replay with different movement rules is your goal, keep an amber note alongside your story-collectible notes. See how New Game+ works.
